We proudly announce that Elizabeth Boles is our 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year at Ernest Kimme Charter Academy.
Beth came to Kimme WRAP 2 years ago, ready to take on our Resource teacher position. In the short time she has been with us, she has made her mark on our students, families, and staff.
Beth has a way of building positive relationships with her students. They trust her and work hard to do the right thing in her class. She has structured her classroom as a safe and comfortable place for students to take risks. She has seen them enter her class quiet and resistant but then leave with confidence and growth.
She works to support student families in their current academic setting and in taking those next steps for life after high school. It is essential to her to ensure that students leave with a path, a resume, and the first steps on that path.
During an IEP, parents always appreciate Beth's work with their students. Ensuring that they also feel heard and supported.
She also supports students in the district's Home Hospital program, giving her time to help students deal with things more significant than their education. Last year, she helped one of our students battling cancer stay the course, focus on the positive, and ultimately graduate.
We are fortunate to have Beth on our team.
